After reviewing my evaluation sheet, I was really happy and pleased with what I was scored. I agree with my supervisors score on worth ethic and attendance I feel I really nail in those areas. I know I scored a 5 on organization however I do think that I could be a little bit better of keeping things organized and label things and even having my desk more tidy. Over all I feel that my evolution sheet was amazing and I am very proud of myself, couldn't have asked for a better supervisor and work place.

This week I got a lot of work done. I also asked my coworker Jason A LOT of questions because I came across documents I was unsure of. The IT guy got me a new keyboard, new mouse, and even a new computer.. so my desk has been upgraded. Work has been getting so much easier now that I know more about my job and documents. I'm really happy with this place and enjoy coming into work. This is the front office, I've never seen anyone actually sit at the desk, but it's a nice little area, theres some chairs and a cool sculpture to the left not in the picture. TIME SHEET MAY 1st-11th
This week was a little slow, Two of my coworkers were out for a business trip so it was just me and my supervisor. But everyone loved my cake pops so I was really happy about that. I recently learned how to open new cases and insert client info I'm really impressed with how much I am learning. I even got to pull closed files and file them in the "closed file room". Im getting so comfortable with everyone and everything I'm super excited to be continuing with them throughout summer and so on. This is the closed file room. it looks very similar to the normal filing cabinets except its got all the closed cases in it and its organized by year and month not numerically. To show appreciation to my employer I decided to bake cake pops. I decided to bake something for my supervisor and coworkers so they can enjoy a treat while working. I appreciate all that they do for me and I am so lucky to have such great coworkers like them.
This week was really exciting. My workload (filing, scanning) and all that was all the same. However my supervisor Sallie came to me and offered me a job through the summer and throughout college. She said I can work more hours and I even get to be doing more work other than scanning and filling. I am really excited and honored that they've enjoyed my presence at the Law Firm that they want me to continue. I can't wait to start up on my new hours and learn more about the new work i am going to be doing. Also the Xerox hated me this week, I think I jammed it like 10 times, even though nothing was jammed, I did however learn how to email and copy in color. This is the home screen on the Xerox if you click email i can email myself things, If you click Copy it prints out another copy of the paper you just scanned. Even though I jam it a lot it's a pretty nifty scanner. This was the first week back from spring break, getting back into work was a struggle but manageable. I had a box of documents that needed to be scanned left on my desk but managed to finish that and another box an attorney had given me. I was working so hard one day I accidentally cut my finger while removing a stapler. Luckily who ever had my desk before me left a couple of bandaids in there. I am getting much better at classifying documents without asking for help, and I don't jam the scanner as much any more. I still am really enjoying my job and coworkers and always look forward to coming in on Monday and seeing everyone after the weekend. This is my nifty tool that i use to remove staples out of papers. It works really well it doesn't rip the paper like other stapler removers do. This week, my IT guy entered me into "xerox" which is a giant scanner/copier machine. This makes it easier for me to scan documents that are 20+ pages long instead of doing them one by one. I got to learn how to use it and even scan things to other people's emails. Not only did I scan and upload documents I also learned how to make files for papers that didn't have a folder and put them in the filing cabinets, I do a lot of the same stuff every week but I can't wait to learn more about my work and finish the giant stack of documents that need to be scanned! This is the filing cabinets, they're organized alphabetically. My First two weeks at the Law Firm have been excellent. The first week I got to know my coworkers really well. I really enjoy them, they're always willing to help me when I need and stop what they're doing to even just say hello and ask me about my day. The first week I learned how to properly file cases and that was super easy. The second week I learned how to scan and upload documents onto my computer and "classify" them as certain documents. So far I am really enjoying my internship, I love the atmosphere, and how I even get my own desk (makes me feel official). I can't wait to see what these next few weeks have in store for me working at the Law Firm. This is my desk at work. I made it look a little more "me" by putting up a picture of myself, my Coach, and my Athletic Director. I use my computer everyday for scanning and uploading documents. Time Sheet for weeks 1&2 |
